Carly Speck

Carly Speck has a love of horror, a talent for silliness and a drive for success. She has created Justaspeckofcolor as a means of producing creative content. The entire brand is her and who she is as an artist, which ranges wildly from simple doodles to complex branding pieces. Her background is in graphic design, and she has been in the business for around 8 years. She is currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media with a concentration in Media Production from Tarleton State University. She enjoys helping others build their brands by implementing coherent graphics through logos, font families, merch designs, and more.

Outside of graphic design, her art style can be best described as sarcastic doodles. She takes huge inspiration from cartoonists, as well as simple but recognizable styles, her two favorite artists/inspirations being Keith Haring and Felix Colgrave. She uses this side of her art to be more expressive and playful with her audience and clients, sometimes even working it into different commissions through things such as murals, stickers, and t-shirt designs. She loves to work in basic black and white but when allowed to will gladly and openly include colors. She has a certain eye for palettes that help her make a consistent color palette for any brand or solo artwork. She has begun working in film, producing some independent short films, and working on a feature film this past year (Carly Speck on IMDB).
